"From the point of view of the larger planet, we proceed with an awareness that the whole system is far too complex or us to actually manage or control ....remember its a system that gave birth to us, so how then are we to interact in a way that is fruitfull?"

"Many of us have been trained perceive randomness as nothing but entropy, background 'noise' to be ignored, much as we are taught to treat the commons, yet the commons is the shared foundation of life...

Ecology, Creativity and Cooperation

This was recorded in 2009, it seems, in the contexts of the Wall Street Protests and the Arab Spring we have another opportunity to change in the direction Tony Juniper is talking about, are we going to?

The book reviewed here is  worth a read re the above

He is attempting to bridge a very difficult gap, on the one hand working with the establishment and Prince Charles

(Since the interview the conservatives have gone back on their promises about cutting carbon)

He admits the problems involve changing our world view our collective culture and our economic model.

This is a way of saying  that the logic of the  'free market' world view created and maintained  and funded by corporate power (eg News International and Atlantic Bridge) that control our government is destroying us.

In a resurgence article in 2004 Juniper concludes are lives are being segmented into false oppositions.

Our community and ecological survival is currently in threatened  by  the cold logic of corporate power and capital, an abstract  designed system disconnected from it's original social roots that  continually attempts to segment our view of  life into  polar oppositions due to the reduction of life to the metric of capital.... we should acknowledge the prescribed technological solutions generated by this approach  offer possibilities, but we all need  space away from market driven  technological prescription  to  explore in an unbiased/inclusive manner the inherent  appreciative modes of perception we have, via for example  random journeys and openness to  natural layered textured surface, to rediscover nature's own subtle methods of communication... and benign  intervention which can heal the  seperations and wounds that are so often a byproduct of the ideology of technical progress, language. and capital.
